The summer concert raised 310,000 kroner

Two choirs, the orchestra and a Year 12 jazz trio filled the hall, and every krone goes to the bursary fund.

Thank you. The summer concert on 19 June raised 310,000 kroner for the bursary fund, the most in the concert’s twenty-year history.

What it pays for

That’s enough to cover full fees for four children for a year, or partial help for many more. Bursaries are decided by the bursar, separately from admissions, and families can ask at any point.

The evening

More than 400 people came. The Primary choir opened with a song they wrote themselves about the lake, the orchestra played Grieg, and the Year 12 jazz trio closed the night. The raffle, with prizes from families and local shops in Lyngby, raised 48,000 kroner on its own.

Next year

The concert moves to the new hall at Lyngby Kulturhus next June, with room for 600. Dates will be in the calendar by the autumn.
