Independent day school in Copenhagen, ages 3 to 18

School should feel like the best part of the day.

Small classes, big questions, and teachers who know every child by name. From the first day of nursery to the last exam, in Danish and English.

We teach children to ask better questions, to work things out together and to leave us curious, kind and ready for whatever comes next.

Why families choose Vanta

A day at Vanta
  • A teacher and three children in rain jackets walking through the wood towards the lake

    Outdoors, every single day

Rain or shine, every class spends part of the day outside, in our own wood by Lyngby lake. Wellies live by the door.

  • Every child is known

Sixteen in a class and one teacher who follows them for three years.

  • Two languages from day one

Danish and English side by side, from nursery to the final exams.

  • Arts and sciences, equally

A real workshop, a lab and a music room with a grand piano, used every week.

  • Lunch cooked here

Our kitchen cooks a warm lunch every day from organic Danish produce.

“Emil used to say school was fine. Now he tells us about it at dinner, whether we ask or not. Mostly about the wood, and a lot about volcanoes.”
