About Vanta
A school built around children, since 1962.
Three families started Vanta in a villa by Lyngby lake. Sixty years later we're bigger, but the idea hasn't changed: small classes, curious children and teachers who know them well.

What we believe
Curiosity comes first
A good question is worth more than a quick answer. We make time for both.
Every child is known
Small classes and teachers who stay, so no one slips through quietly.
Outside is a classroom
Fresh air, mud and weather are part of learning, not a break from it.
Kindness is taught
Like reading, it's practised every day, by children and adults alike.
A word from the head
I've taught in four countries, and I've never met children as happy to come to school as ours. That doesn't happen by accident.
It happens because our teachers stay for years and know every child well. Because lessons leave room for questions, and the wood leaves room for everything else. And because parents are part of the school, not visitors to it.
We're ambitious for every child, and our results show it. But what I'm proudest of is who they become: curious, kind and ready for whatever comes next. Come and see for yourself.
How the school is run
An independent foundation
Vanta is owned by a non-profit foundation. Every krone of the fees goes back into the school.
A board of parents
Seven board members, five of them elected by parents, oversee the budget and the head.
Approved and inspected
Recognised by the Danish Ministry of Children and Education, and inspected every year.
